Our Community Partners ensure the positive impacts of the Solar Stewards Program are felt throughout the community and throughout the world.   These NGOs and non-profits embody the mission of Solar Stewards by multiplying the social investment in inclusive and innovative ways that help share the benefits of solar to all populations and generations.

Community partners

With the purchase of Social RECs generated on our Solar Host Sites, our Climate Stewards are able to impact social initiatives that invest in communities through our network of Community Partners.

The Solar Stewards Program works closely with our Community Partners to facilitate positive impact, report progress, and tell the sustainability story.  Most importantly, the work of our Community Partners yields generous returns in the form of energy savings, training for new jobs, and teaching the next generation.

Meet Our Community Partners

Workforce Training

At GRID Alternatives, we believe that a successful transition to clean, renewable energy needs to include everyone. We are working across the United States and in Nicaragua to make renewable energy technology and job training accessible to under-served communities.

STEM Solar Labs

STEM Solar Lab™ hands-on activities allow students to construct context, develop positive attitudes toward learning, and engage in discussions with peers that increases content knowledge. The SSL brings new and exciting learning opportunities to students every day.

Solar Sister

Women and Entrepreneurship

Solar Sister eradicates energy poverty by empowering women with economic opportunity. We are creating a deliberately woman-centered direct sales network to bring the breakthrough potential of clean energy technology to even the most remote communities in rural Africa.

STEM and Sustainability Curriculum

The demand for K-12 curriculum that supports sustainability and environmental education is rising as learners and leaders increasingly seek content that supports STEM, uses students' local environments as a context for learning, fosters systems thinking and student engagement and is mapped to curriculum standards. Learning Lab is your one-stop shop for leading-edge classroom sustainability materials.
